Tropical Chic

I think the weather is finally catching up. I am so happy it's finally getting warmer because the weather has been a little crazy around here...

I am wearing a Motel Rocks muscle tee that i purchased from Plndr, high waisted shorts from Charlotte Russe, and sunglasses from SheInside. Originally, I wanted to wear my top with a coral skater skirt from Motel Rocks, but it's too big on me. I got it in size small but I guess I needed to get an extra small one.  So I'm planning on getting it fixed somehow, or maybe I'll just sell it or I don't know because I really like it. :(

I've been looking everywhere for skater skirts online but their smallest size is still too big. They usually don't sell extra small skater skirts, and that's what I need!! I am so obsessed with them but it's so sad that I can't find any in my size. I've looked around in different clothing stores, but they are usually out of small sizes and full of large ones -.- sigh...

Life Decisions - Choosing Wisely

Every once in awhile, we have to deal with really tough decisions. Such as, choosing a college, a place to live, whom to live with, or whether or not to give everything you have to someone special.

Recently I have bumped into a similar case where I had to choose between two things that were not easy to give up. I wanted them both badly, it was like choosing between chocolate and marshmallows, or shoes and clothes... It seemed impossible for me to come to a decision. So I thought that talking to someone would help me out; and it did. I discovered that I was scared that people would get mad at me, or that I would be pressured by people to do what they wanted me to do. But truth was that I needed to care more about what made me happy and what made me feel more fulfilled. I understood that I was grabbing onto one option because of the fact that I was scared about people's reaction, and I was letting loose the one that I honestly wanted because I thought that if i let go of it, people would support me more. Once I figured this out, I chose the option that truly made me happy. 

Sometimes when you have to make decisions, you may get scared about whether or not it will be a good decision, or if you will regret it. But when it comes to deciding between things that will both make you happy, either way, there is never a wrong path or incorrect decision. If you are confused because you are scared or insecure, speak it out. It helps to figure out why you feel like this. Sometimes you really need to blurt out what you have inside and figure out what it is that is stopping you from making a decision. Also remind yourself that you will always receive support from people who truly matter and care for you and your happiness. Don't mind about those who don't matter.

So remember, if you bump into a really tough decision:
1. Talk to someone about it.
2. Put yourself first.
3. Figure out which decision will make YOU happier.

Extra tip: Imagine yourself taking one or the other and see which one you picture yourself happiest and without regrets.

DIY: Glossy Lipstick to Matte

1. Dab on foundation on your lips (the color of the lipstick won't fade away that easily).
2. Apply lipstick 
3. Blot your lipstick to remove the gloss.
4. Dab on some powder foundation or finishing powder.

This is the easiest thing to do. I personally loved this because it annoys me (sometimes) that my lipstick can be really shiny when I don't want to look too glamorous. This really helps your makeup look more natural and less sparkly ;p

Every person is beautiful in their own unique way. No matter size, ethnicity, looks, or any other characteristic; you are perfect and no one but you can decide if you will feel beautiful, attractive, or satisfied about youself.

I think that the most important thing is to love yourself, mainly because you are going to have to deal with yourself your whole life. Honestly, if you think you are not enough or if you feel that you are not something that you would want to be, you are just making your life harder because instead of showing off your qualities, you are making yourself believe that your imperfections are bigger than what they are. 

Enjoy youself, be you, don't let your insecurities tear you down because God gave you a perfect mind and body. Work with it and shine from within, because beauty cannot be shown if you don't believe you are beautiful.

Lana Del Rey Inspired Look

This summer, style yourself with a DIY flower crown. I made mine from crafting flowers, a piece of ribbon, and some needle work. It literally cost me nothing. All of these things I had at home, and I am so satisfied because I really wanted a flower crown. I was actually planning on purchasing one online from Urban Outfitters. They have such pretty flower crowns and at a decent price, but still, I think it would have been a waste of my money. So get crafty and make your own unique flower crown, I promise you will enjoy it even more than simply buying one. You could even make some money out of them. Lol. BTW I styled my hair like Lana Del Rey by pinning one side to my head, and curling the other side; and then I just tied on my flower crown.

I finished sewing up my DIY flower crown today. I am so excited to show it off!! I have always wanted a flower crown since it became fashionable, and after Lana Del Rey made it a key accessory for a cute and summery look.

It took me nothing to make it and best of all cost me nothing. Usually flower crowns are sold around $20  to $100 bucks, but if you make it for yourself, you'll save yourself some money and use that money for other things... (;

Simply Simpsons

So today, I decided to rock on my Bart Simpson's shirt I purchased from SheInside.com 

I definitely fell in love with it the instant I saw it. It has really good quality, and the fabric is soft and very comfortable. 

I am also wearing my denim shorts from Forever 21, which are Amazing!

Your room represents your life.

I have been told so many times that depending on the cleanliness of my bedroom is how much order there is to my life. I haven't really cared about this, since forever, but today I finished tiding up my bedroom, organizing my stuff, and throwing away things I don't really need. After I finished today, I realized that the main reason I wanted to do this is because I felt the need to change. Change my habits; start being more productive, more happy about life. And this definitely gave me a head starter. Now that I go in my room I feel so much more relaxed and happy because it looks better and it makes me feel calm and at ease because I can now relax knowing that I have everything organized and cleaned out. My room may not directly represent my life, but it definitely affects my mood. I hope I can keep my room like this for a while because I am really enjoying it x)!
