Gelish Nails?

For the first time ever, a good friend of mine did my nails with her +Gelish kit. It was really interesting for me because I had never seen such long process to apply any kind of nail polish, but it was definitely worth it. I don't know the steps required, nor the different types of things needed, but just broadly I can say that she applied a transparent coat, then the color coat, and finally another protective coat. In between each color coat, I had to put my hand below a blue light for the paint to dry on my nails. They came out really shiny and were long lasting compared to regular nail polish.
I only know that +Gelish is like a hybrid between regular nail polish and acrylic nails because of the thick smooth feeling. I hope you find this helpful, thank you for reading, and finally if you would like, please follow:

Love Is in The Air Manicure

This is definitely one of my favorite nail art designs ever! I hope you like it too. 

1. I used false almond shaped nails and painted them with a nude color. 

2. Then I drew the heart shapes with a red nail polish. 

3. Finally I filed the tips to create a more realistic heart on my nails. (It also made them more claw-like)

Jackets like this  at +Forever 21 are pretty cheap but have a really good quality and are pretty warm. I got this Moto Easy Jacket for $12 by using a code from Retailmenot.com 

 

 

Steps to draw snowflakes:

1. Draw white stars
2. Draw little stems from each line of the star previously made
3. Paint small dots to simulate snow

Since a lot of people have been asking me how I do my nails, here is the link to the tool I got from Ebay . It is kind of like a pencil. You simply dip the tool in your nail polish and then you go ahead and draw whatever you want on your nails! I you can't purchase a tool like this, you could use a pencil or a pen to draw (I used to do that and it worked!) you just have to be a little more patient when making mistakes.

You Will Never Be Lovelier Than You Are Now

We all have those rough days where we feel that we want to give up and break apart. Why do we have to suffer so much? Why do we have to feel like everything is over for us? Why do we have to go through so much? 

We have those days to open our eyes, to wake us up from the thought that everything will last forever. To remind us that what we have; whatever makes us happy, isn't going to be there forever. They are there to remind us that we have to appreciate every second of our lives; including people, nature and ourselves. 

Sometimes people forget that this life is borrowed. We don't have the luxury to live forever. But we do have the luxury to treasure all those memories, smile and know that they will stay in your heart and know that you can be happy again. Because that's the point of living.

Perfect Imperfections

 I was reading a magazine, I do not remember if it was either Glamour, In Style, or Vogue, but I read an article-slash-interview of the actress that's on that movie, you know... Okay I forgot her name, but I'll look it up later.

The point is that she said something that was really beautiful. She said that the thing that she loved most about people was their imperfections. I had never thought about it that way. I had always thought that you should accept people and love them despite of their imperfections; but she is saying that you should love what is unusual of a person, their so called imperfections. I think it is beautiful to think that you can love someones distinct characteristics. Say for example that you have a friend that is really clumsy, you could accept them the way they are, but it would be so much better if you loved their clumsy personality because he or she is fun to hang out with and laugh together.

I think that everyone should stop considering imperfections as a flaw, but rather a characteristic that will make you more lovable, perfect, and unforgettable. It is really important to realize that those little imperfections makes up the person that makes you laugh, makes you have a great time, and feel happy. So why not love that their little lovely scar.

DIY "Eye Do My Nails"

Steps:

1. Paint nails with color of choice
2. Paint white almonds in the middle of each nail
3. Paint small blue circles inside the white almonds
4. Outline the eyes with black nail polish
5. Paint little dots in the middle of the blue circle

I felt really creative doing this design. I really wanted to do something different on my nails and went for the "eye spy" design. I think it came out pretty cool, except for the black lines; my nail polish kept on drying so I wasn't able to draw a straight line around the eyes (that's why they look all squiggly). Apart from that, I really liked the design.

Back to school Outfit

My first day of school was great only because it was minimum day, teehee. Just kidding, it was fun to see all of my friends... I think I liked most of my teachers and classes. Although, I still need to change my schedule because I have showchoir instead of dance (I was in show choir last year, and the year before that, but I think I need to leave a little more space for studying and sports).

Italianissimo Trattoria Restaurant

Melanzane Parmigiana: $13.95

Baked Eggplant with tomato sauce, parmesan, and melted mozzarella cheese.

Traditional Italian style seafood in a light spicy tomato sauce.

Like every other Italian restaurant, they had bread as appetizers, accompanied with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I have to confess, that has been my addiction since I was little. It is funny because a few years ago, I ate so many bread slices dipped in wine vinegar that it made me sooo hyper, I stopped eating it for a while, lol.

I ordered the Melanzane Parmigiana, it was actually the first time that I tried this. I ordered it because I wanted to try something new, since it was my first time in this restaurant.  It was not heavy at all, even though it had a lot of cheese (which makes it so, so good). My mom ordered the second plate, the Cioppino Mamma Rosa. It looked really good, and I'm guessing it was because she almost finished it completely! 

Overall Italianissimo Trattoria was great. The waiter was really attentive and fast, our food was served really quickly, and the chef even greeted us and checked if we were doing fine. I definitely enjoyed my lunch with so many attentions ;)

Fruity Nails

Just thought I'd share what I did on my nails on Monday. I honestly didn't think they would come out this good lol. I thought my nails would look horrible because I have no tools for nail art. I literally used a needle to paint the lines and the little seeds on my nails, so you can imagine how long it took me to do this. But honestly it wasn't that difficult to do; I had fun and they came out great. 

Today I tried to do another design on my right hand, but since I am not left handed, it came out horrible,and I  gave up :|. I'm guessing I'll just wait until I get bored from this watermelon design and I'll try to do what I wanted to do today, on my left hand to see if it works. 

In case you were wondering, I'll list the nail polishes I used  (:

• Pink : Disco Brites NL80

All from Wet n Wild ->

• White : Wild Shine 449C

• Black : Fantasy Makers 11327

• Dark Green : fastdry 226C

• Light Green : fastdry 225C 

DIY: Glossy Lipstick to Matte

1. Dab on foundation on your lips (the color of the lipstick won't fade away that easily).
2. Apply lipstick 
3. Blot your lipstick to remove the gloss.
4. Dab on some powder foundation or finishing powder.

This is the easiest thing to do. I personally loved this because it annoys me (sometimes) that my lipstick can be really shiny when I don't want to look too glamorous. This really helps your makeup look more natural and less sparkly ;p
