Evalectric/ Evolution Flat Iron Review

evalectric, evolutiom, flat iron, hairstyle, curling iron, hair iron, hair straightener

The Evalectric or Evolution Iron is an flat iron that uses infrared waves to warm the inside protein of your hair strands without damaging your hair on the outside. It claims to keep your hair styled for longer because it emits ions to your hair opposite of your body. The flat iron has ceramic plates that are much more delicate, but compared to the usual metallic plates, they do not burn or damage your hair.

In this picture, I straightened my hair with the Evalectric flat iron. As you can see, my hair does not seem damaged or dry at all.

After three months of using this product, I can say that this is one of the best flat irons I have ever used on my hair. Honestly, at first I was wary of purchasing it at the mall because of the price, but it was totally worth it. And I definitely recommend it because of how beautifully it works on your hair.

I do not recommend buying the flat irons from the online page because they are double the price than at the mall. If you find an Evolution stand at the mall, and purchase a flat iron, you'll get a shampoo and a conditioner worth $25 each, and a three year warranty. So it is a lot better to purchase it at the mall or on Ebay than on their website.

If you have ever tried any other product from Evolution line that you have liked, please let me know in the comments below. Or if you have any other line that you believe has the best flat irons, tell me about it! (:

Summer Reading Reviews 2014

127 hours, books, book revie, lovely bones, vsco, the help, sarahs key, the girl who played with fire, mayu girl, mayugirl

I got these books for 25 cents each at a bookstore that had its books for sale. I have never seen the movies for any of the books except for the 127 Hours, which I thought was good but not really amazing.

My Book Reviews:

127 Hours (Between a Rock and a Hard Place) Review

Once I read the book, I thought that Aron Ralston's adventure was really amazing. His story has so much to teach and is so inspiring.

The story is not all about the arm amputation, but rather about how he grew mentally and spiritually as a human being and how he became to appreciate his life, his loved ones, and even himself more than ever before.

I would recommend this book more than the movie because it is more insightful about Aron Ralston's life and how he grew as a person and how he became to appreciate life. I think that by reading this book, I have learned the importance of appreciating the people who care about us and to simply appreciate all that we have.

Sarah's Key Book Review:

This book was really moving; it will not leave your mind. It is a story joins the past and the present to uncover really sad and awful secrets that connect to families together.

The past takes place during the Holocaust, in France, where a Jewish girl named Sara is arrested, along with her parents. In the present, an American journalist investigates the roundup and discovers how she is linked to Sarah and uncovers the devastating secrets that tare her marriage apart.

I really recommend this book because it is packed with so many themes, such as the Holocaust, the family, lies, deaths, abortion, and strength. I was really impressed that the story started and ended really strong, leaving me a bitter sweet sensation in the end that really imprinted my mind.

The Lovely Bones Book Review:

This book was not what I expected; it was too tragic and gruesome. I thought it would have something more to it, like a twist of some kind, but the plot was too plain and there was nothing that hooked me to the story.

The Help Book Review:

This is a beautifully written book. It is one of those books that you just can't put down. It lures you to keep reading because of the secrets involved and the thrill of wanting to know what is going to happen next.

The Help is a story told through three different voices. Two black women named Minny and Aibleen, and a white woman named Skeeter. Chapter after chapter the narrarators switch out to tell the story from their view.

Their stories take place in Jacksonville, Mississipi druing the 1950s, where they are about to make a major decision that risks their lives and of their families, since there is nativism and racism going on through that time.

I would definitely recommend this book because it is a really enjoyable book that is hard to put down. It is a great story that makes you feel intrigue to know what their story is about and how it is going to tie up in the end.

I hope you find these reviews helpful in choosing wether or not to read these books. If you are planning on buying a book, I would definitely recommend Ebay or Amazon.

Denim Skirt Overalls x The Simpsons Outfit

This has been one of my most playful outfits I have ever worn; I felt like I was a little girl playing dress up. It was pretty fun making myself look like a 90's kid. I can't say I was a ninety's kid because I was still a baby back then, but I can handle it (haha).

I realy love my top from +Choies , which I think is sold out at the time :(, but you can probably find a dupe at +eBay . I can't explain how obsessed I am with +The Simpsons. I have watched the show since I was about seven, and I am still watching it. I don't think I will ever grow out of it, it will always be my favorite show.

I got my overall denim skirt from a store in Japan called Honey's, I think they have a website but they don't sell the same products online as they do in stores (the products in stores are muuuuch better). I wish they had a store in the US because I loved everything that they were selling there. Everything was really cute, fashionable, and true to size. Definitely planning to go back someday (hopefully it will still be there when I get to go someday :'( ...)

This is definitely one of my favorite nail art designs ever! I hope you like it too.

1. I used false almond shaped nails and painted them with a nude color.

2. Then I drew the heart shapes with a red nail polish

3. Finally I filed the tips to create a more realistic heart on my nails. (It also made them more claw-like)

Thank you for reading!

Falsies + Studded Nails DIY

nails, studs, forever 21, revlon, nail art, nail design, heart stud, stud, accessories, accessory

Steps:
1. Glue on nails-
I used the Revlon Color Allure Medium 91051. The little box contains 24 nails with different sizes, glue, a small file, and a little stick for cuticles.

2. Glue on studs-
I purchased the studs from Forever 21 at a very cheap price. I think it was on sale then. To glue them on, I used the same glue I used for my nails.

Be careful to not glue your fingers because the glue is very strong! I was honestly pretty scared at first, but it is pretty easy and worth it. By the way, the box says that the nails should be removed after a week to prevent nails from becoming weak and breaking.

  • Since a lot of people have been asking me how I do my nails, here is the link to the tool I got from Ebay . It is kind of like a pencil. You simply dip the tool in your nail polish and then you go ahead and draw whatever you want on your nails! I you can't purchase a tool like this, you could use a pencil or a pen to draw (I used to do that and it worked!) you just have to be a little more patient when making mistakes.

You Will Never Be Lovelier Than You Are Now

We all have those rough days where we feel that we want to give up and break apart. Why do we have to suffer so much? Why do we have to feel like everything is over for us? Why do we have to go through so much?

We have those days to open our eyes, to wake us up from the thought that everything will last forever. To remind us that what we have; whatever makes us happy, isn't going to be there forever. They are there to remind us that we have to appreciate every second of our lives; including people, nature and ourselves.

Sometimes people forget that this life is borrowed. We don't have the luxury to live forever. But we do have the luxury to treasure all those memories, smile and know that they will stay in your heart and know that you can be happy again. Because that's the point of living.

Seek to be happy each and every day, appreciate those little things, and know that you can be happy, because happiness is a choice after all.

The temperature in San Francisco was quite nice. I had a great time although I was there for one day. I visited Chinatown, the Cable Car Museum, Ghirardelli, and Fisherman's Wharf, where I had a Crab Enchilada for the first time!
The only thing I regret about this small trip is that I didn't buy anything from this little boutique that I fell in love with. I thought that I would find their products on the internet, but guess what... that boutique doesn't sell their stuff on the internet and it's only location is in San Francisco. Bummer! I guess I'll have to wait 'till the next time I visit San Francisco...

Sparks Fly on Fourth of July

    Mayu Girl
Yesterday, my parents and I cooked tilapia for lunch, for the first time, and it came out impressively good. After lunch and playing some piano, we headed ourselves to see the fireworks. We had dinner at Roy's Hawaiian restaurant, we visited some little shops, and we enjoyed the rest of the night watching amazing fireworks.
