Divergent Movie Review

 

 

 Although the setting of the movie was quite similar to The Hunger Games, I thought that Divergent was an overall interesting and fun movie to watch (specially Theo James who plays the role of Four <3 lol ) I like the fact that in some parts it confuses you between whether it's the characters' mind or reality. I also like the combination between action and romance without making it too much of a chick flick.

The part that I thought was really bad, was the ending, I thought that the movie was building up to  a strong ending, but honestly it ended abruptly and everyone was suddenly saved without much  complexity to it. It was basically pretty simple and disappointing.

The only reason I would watch it again is to watch Theo and maybe some others too haha.

 

Overall I would give this movie a 4 out of five

Gelish Nails?

For the first time ever, a good friend of mine did my nails with her +Gelish kit. It was really interesting for me because I had never seen such long process to apply any kind of nail polish, but it was definitely worth it. I don't know the steps required, nor the different types of things needed, but just broadly I can say that she applied a transparent coat, then the color coat, and finally another protective coat. In between each color coat, I had to put my hand below a blue light for the paint to dry on my nails. They came out really shiny and were long lasting compared to regular nail polish.
I only know that +Gelish is like a hybrid between regular nail polish and acrylic nails because of the thick smooth feeling. I hope you find this helpful, thank you for reading, and finally if you would like, please follow:

Choose the Best Prom Dress For You!

1. COLOR

a) Compliment your skin tone:

• If you have light skin: go for silver, violet, ivory, aqua, or peach. 

• If you have medium skin: go for purple, pink, red, navy, or green. 

• If you have dark skin: go for turquoise, orange, blue, fuchsia, golden, or forest. 

b) It has to be different from your hair color (if you plan on having your hair down it will look too much of the same color) 

2. LENGTH

•If you are short: go for long dresses that will give the illusion of longer legs. 

•If you are tall: go for high low dresses that will compliment your height.

3. DECOR

• Small back or shoulders: choose decor on the straps, back, or shoulders. 

• Wide back or shoulders: choose decor at the waist or bottom to give a proportionate look. 

• Small bust: Decor on top. 

• Large bust: Decor at waist or bottom. 

4. STRAPS!

If you ar planning on wearing a strapless dress, make shure that it doesnt slide down by jumping and walking around the dressing room. 

5. COMFORT

• Pick a dress that best suits your body, that you like, and that you feel most comfortable in because all these aspects will affect your confidence level.

Choies' Clothing Review

 

In case you have never heard of Choies, Choies is an online clothing shop that has a wide variety of things for sale that are unique and fashionable. It is one of my favorite websites to purchase clothes from because the sizes are pretty much petit because of the fact that it is designed for Asian people.

It is interesting to read some of the reviews because there are a lot of complaints about how short the dresses are and that they are not dresses, but rather peplum style top. I totally disagree with them because for me, they are the perfect length. And I also can't understand why would those people decide to purchase those clothes if the measurements are posted right below in a description box of each item!

In other news... I wanted to recognize that @Choies has the best crop tops ever. As I mentioned before, they have really unique designs and they are really well priced. Plus, there's always free shipping and you even get points for purchasing items (Those points count as discounts for future purchases). Lunch at Outback Steakhouse

I went to the Outback Steakhouse restaurant today, and I was really satisfied with their service, regardless of the fact that the house was packed. The food was really good and satisfying. I really liked that their menu is really varied and that the portions are the perfect size for one person. It also has several dishes under 600 calories for people who want a healthier meal. 

Just because it's called Steak House, doesn't mean that they only serve stake. They have fish, chicken, soups and salads; like any other restaurant. But let me just say, that their steak is amazing (or maybe it's the fact that meat is my favorite kind of protein, I don't know)

Overall, it is a great place to indulge your meat cravings, while having a healthy portion of protein accompanied by veggies and rice.

Love Is in The Air Manicure

This is definitely one of my favorite nail art designs ever! I hope you like it too. 

1. I used false almond shaped nails and painted them with a nude color. 

2. Then I drew the heart shapes with a red nail polish. 

3. Finally I filed the tips to create a more realistic heart on my nails. (It also made them more claw-like)

Unique Foods in Japan!

I just wanted to share some of the things that I ate in Japan that are quite different from Western foods. Some of them I had already tried before but others I found quite new. One of the things that I liked the most was the Spaghetti with the Squid Ink Sauce. It was really really good! The one that I least enjoyed was the Vegetable Yakult because it gave me a horrible stomach ache right on New Year's Eve :'( That is the only reason I had to eat my "Last Soba of the Year" after New Year's... Oh well at least I started off the year with a fixed stomach (although I ended 2013 with a horrible stomach ache...)

 

 

 

I really enjoyed my trip to Japan and I can't wait to go back again.

Hair Care 101

• Only shampoo the top part of your hair by massaging your scalp.  This will help prevent your ends from getting damaged, since you only really need to get rid of the dirt and oils from your scalp. 
• Only apply hair conditioner on the bottom half of your hair. Hair conditioner makes your hair heavier so don't apply on the top part to prevent it from falling.  
• Dry shampoo and conditioner protect your hair from UV sun rays. This will help your hair keep its natural oils, which will prevent breakage and dryness. 

• Do not brush your hair when it is wet, wait for it to dry. Brushing your hair right after you take a shower will only increase the chances of damage and split ends. 

• Do not put your hair in a tight ponytail, loosen it up! Love your hair by not putting it on too much pressure. Hairstyles that require tightening your hair will cause your hair to fall off.

• Avoid hair dryers, straighteners, and curlers. Avoiding these tools will help your hair heal faster from damage. 

• Don't dry your hair with a towel. Leave your towel on but don't rub your hair with it because it will damage your hair.
