10 Things I'd do if I were a Guy

Back to school Outfit

My first day of school was great only because it was minimum day, teehee. Just kidding, it was fun to see all of my friends... I think I liked most of my teachers and classes. Although, I still need to change my schedule because I have showchoir instead of dance (I was in show choir last year, and the year before that, but I think I need to leave a little more space for studying and sports).

Humor Summer Reads

Last week I purchased "Seriously...I'm Kidding" and "Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?". These books were really easy to read, and they were very entertaining and funny. They are not very long, but they are totally worth it. I personally recommend these books to people who know who the authors are because they mostly talk about their lives and experiences.  

Mindy Kaling focuses on how she became one of the script writers for the show The Office, and she also shares her experiences through high school, college, and some stories from her childhood. If you have seen Mindy in the Mindy Project, and you like her, you should probably get this book because she wrote the book as if she was talking to you in her natural funny-self.

Ellen Degeneres talks about many subjects related to life, such as self esteem, happiness, meditation, nutrition, and other things that are really inspiring and very helpful. She also shares some personal things such as her journal, dreams, and how she came to write her book. I really, really want to encourage you to get this book because you will love it, I promise.

Pho Convoy Noodle House

The food we ordered was simply tasty, they had great service, and definitely will go back again. I had never tasted so many different and new flavors in one plate. I am excited to go again and discover more tasty Vietnamese food.

My Back to School Essentials

 Just wanted to share some of the things I got for school. I've never been an organized person, to be honest, so when I got this little pencil holder, it was like the best thing I have ever purchased in my life. I've always had my pens and pencils lying around everywhere and most of them didn't even work. The amazing part of this is that that little basket was only a buck and it's pretty friggin amazing. 

I also covered my composition notebooks, and they came out pretty good. I used cut outs from Seventeen's June/May issue where Lucy Hale was in the cover. By the way, I am really mad at Seventeen Magazine because they sent me my last issue this past week and they said that I had to renew my subscription, but like a few months ago, I paid my subscription. So I emailed them and they were like 'oh we didn't receive your money, so if you don't renew your subscription you won't get next month's issue, sorry' And I'm like ... :'( So yeah I guess I'm never going to renew my subscription with Seventeen because I don't want to lose my money like that again :(  The good thing is that I'm subscripted to other magazines that are supposed to come at any time in the mail now... 

So that's it for my back to school essentials. I know it may be a little early for some people, but I start school next week that's why I'm posting this. I hope you liked it, and have a nice summer! xoxo

My Weekend at the Adoption Center

This weekend I had an orientation and training at an adoption center. It was very sad to see all those animals caged because they were probably abandoned or given up by their owners. I don't know if this sounds ridiculous or not but I felt like crying once I saw all those dogs barking, wanting to get out and play so desperately. It is unfair that just because their owners are irresponsible, they'll have to get caged, scared, and stressed because they don't know what's happening. 

So if you want a dog or a cat, you should definitely consider adopting. Just because they were once abandoned doesn't mean they are bad dogs. If they were bad, they wouldn't be in adoption in the first place. It is more likely that the owner was not responsible enough to commit to take care of their pet. So yeah, adopt and be committed because those animals don't have the fault of anything and they are there to be loved and cared for.

The temperature in San Francisco was quite nice. I had a great time although I was there for one day. I visited Chinatown, the Cable Car Museum, Ghirardelli, and Fisherman's Wharf, where I had a Crab Enchilada for the first time!

The only thing I regret about this small trip is that I didn't buy anything from this little boutique that I fell in love with. I thought that I would find their products on the internet, but guess what... that boutique doesn't sell their stuff on the internet and it's only location is in San Francisco. Bummer! I guess I'll have to wait 'till the next time I visit San Francisco...

Just Keep Swimming

Talia Joy is such a strong girl, and a great role model for so many people going through tough situations. I admire her so much because she is such a strong girl living positively everyday making videos and other things that make her happy; she inspires so many people to live and enjoy life. I think that sometimes people don't realize that there is so much more to life than just problems. Life is full of beautiful things; the purpose of life is to seek for those little things that make you happy, learn from all of your mistakes, grow, and 'just keep swimming'.

Like every other Italian restaurant, they had bread as appetizers, accompanied with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I have to confess, that has been my addiction since I was little. It is funny because a few years ago, I ate so many bread slices dipped in wine vinegar that it made me sooo hyper, I stopped eating it for a while, lol.

I ordered the Melanzane Parmigiana, it was actually the first time that I tried this. I ordered it because I wanted to try something new, since it was my first time in this restaurant.  It was not heavy at all, even though it had a lot of cheese (which makes it so, so good). My mom ordered the second plate, the Cioppino Mamma Rosa. It looked really good, and I'm guessing it was because she almost finished it completely! 

Overall Italianissimo Trattoria was great. The waiter was really attentive and fast, our food was served really quickly, and the chef even greeted us and checked if we were doing fine. I definitely enjoyed my lunch with so many attentions ;)

Sparks Fly on Fourth of July

 Yesterday, my parents and I cooked tilapia for lunch, for the first time, and it came out impressively good. After lunch and playing some piano, we headed ourselves to see the fireworks. We had dinner at Roy's Hawaiian restaurant, we visited some little shops, and we enjoyed the rest of the night watching amazing fireworks.

Fruity Nails

Just thought I'd share what I did on my nails on Monday. I honestly didn't think they would come out this good lol. I thought my nails would look horrible because I have no tools for nail art. I literally used a needle to paint the lines and the little seeds on my nails, so you can imagine how long it took me to do this. But honestly it wasn't that difficult to do; I had fun and they came out great. 

Today I tried to do another design on my right hand, but since I am not left handed, it came out horrible,and I  gave up :|. I'm guessing I'll just wait until I get bored from this watermelon design and I'll try to do what I wanted to do today, on my left hand to see if it works.

Do you have a long dress with gorgeous tropical prints on it, and can't seem to be able to wear it because you don't have long legs and it doesn't seem flattering on your legs? Well, here's the solution; tuck it in your favourite skater skirt, or any other bottoms that'll match your dress, and show off your legs. I know it is difficult to think about ways to style a long dress when you don't have as much height because they make you look shorter, and worst of all your legs look even shorter; but if you use that printed, gorgeous dress as a top, you will be able to use it more frequently.
